Top 5 Beauty Products for Busy Moms

Let’s be real. Being a mom is a lot of work, leaving you with little time to get ready. This is why it’s essential to find some products that will help you feel and look like a normal human again. I love trying new products so its hard for me to find a brand that I’m super loyal to. These products are my must-haves even if I change brands sometimes. My daughter is one year old so I am constantly chasing her around the house. It’s hard to find time to get ready for the day when I’m the only one home while my husband is at work. These are my go-to products for those busy days we all face.

What is it?– A long lasting lip color that molecularly bonds to your lips for up to 18 hours of wear.

What I’m currently using- I love Sengence Lipsense. I have almost 25 colors but my favorites right now are Sheer Berry, Roseberry, and Bella. To order this product you will have to find a distributor, but if you go to their website here, you can type in your zip code to find one in your area!

Why I love it– No I’m not a distributor. I just love this product. It does take a little more time to put on because of the application process and you need to do it in three layers, then add gloss. But once it’s on, IT’S ON! There’s no reapplying all day and it stays put. It doesn’t transfer to my husband, daughter or my wine glasses. Did I mention that Lipsense is a 100% vegan product??

Dry shampoo

What is it?– A spray that will absorb oils in your hair to give you a renewed and voluminous look to your next-day hair.

What I’m currently using- Batiste Divinely Dark Dry Shampoo

Why I love it– This is one of the better dry shampoos that I’ve tried. Some of the dry shampoos I’ve tried left my hair feeling sticky and gross. This one is great because it is easy to spray and leaves my hair feeling clean. I have oily hair and I don’t want to wash my hair every day so this is great for the in-between days. My hair will fall flat from the oil, but with this product it leaves it with just enough volume. I also love how this product is tinted so it doesn’t leave a white residue in my hair.

BB cream

What is it?- There’s a lot of BB creams on the market but generally bb creams are a light or sheer foundation that has SPF and moisturizing properties.

What I’m currently usingMaybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream

Why I love it- Sometimes I don’t want to or have time to put on the fifteen layers of face cover required nowadays. (For real, if someone knows of a product that moisturizes, primes, protects, conceals, covers, highlights, contours, and sets all at the same time, hit me up!) When this happens, which is almost daily, my go to is a BB cream. BB stands for beauty balm, it is basically a tinted moisturizer or sheer foundation. Many BB creams claim different things but almost all moisturize, contain a sheer color, and have SPF. If you aren’t wearing SPF daily, you need to be! This is perfect for a hint of color and protection for those busy mornings. I’ve had other BB creams that didn’t soak into my skin and were just a layer on top that easily rub off, but not this product! This product soaks into my skin leaving it soft and even. I plan to try out Smashbox’s BB cream next.

What is it?– Obvi everyone knows what mascara is, a lash enhancer.

What I’m currently using- The Balm’s Mad Lash Black Mascara

Why I love it– This is the newest product on this list that I’ve tried. After reading the reviews on amazon I decided to order this one. I blame my Asian roots for leaving me with short straight lashes. I need a mascara that ads length and volume. And this product does just that! Just a couple coats and my eyelashes are looking super luscious. Here is my before and after with this product.

Top pic- no mascara Bottom pic- two coats of mad lash

Wet brush

What is it?– It’s only the best hair detangling brush I’ve ever found. Safe for your hair, wet or dry.

What I’m currently using– I have the full size original wet brush for home use and the mini travel one in my purse. Find it on Amazon here!

Why I love it -This is by far the best detangler brush I’ve ever used. I was introduced to it by my friend a couple years ago and there’s no looking back! I’m not even sure why it works so great because it just feels like a normal brush but the bristles are softer. This brush detangles your hair in no time! Normally using a brush on wet hair is damaging, but this brush is safe for wet hair.

** BONUS**

This my personal top product, but I didn’t include it because I don’t think everyone needs it or even likes it. It’s eyeliner! I’m an avid eyeliner user. In fact, I don’t leave the house without eyeliner. I’ve worn eyeliner everyday since I was about 16 years old.

I’ve been using Maybelline gel liner since I was 19, but in the past year I discovered liquid liner pens and I love how fast and easy they go on! I can do my top and bottom liner in less than ten seconds and it stays on all day. Although, I still keep my gel liner for when I want a dramatic bottom wet line.

I’m currently using Mary Kay’s Liquid Eyeliner Pen.

Yeah I’m an in between color. Light/medium is too light and medium/dark is dark light. This one has a medium that works just perfect. Smashbox’s bb cream comes in multiple colors I believe
